Cricket

Fast bowlers are prone to back injuries, shoulder and ankle injuries and can be a challenge to rehabilitate due to the repetitive nature of their bowling action.  Rehabilitation often involves modifying bowling action to avoid re injury. Young fast bowlers with back pain should be screened for stress fractures in their spine. Fielders can injure their ankles, wrists and hands. Sudden bursts of speed in fielding can lead to hamstring and other muscular injuries.
